Our story
From a one-click idea to an industry standard
In 2009, auto installers were clunky, slow and frustrating. Pulkit Gupta founded Softaculous with a simple conviction: installing WordPress or Joomla should take a single click. That product became the Softaculous Auto Installer — now deployed on over 200,000 servers and integrated into every major hosting control panel.
The company was incorporated in February 2010 and has never looked back. Each new product began the same way: by watching what administrators and end users struggle with, then removing that pain entirely. That philosophy produced Virtualizor, Webuzo, SitePad, AMPPS and a growing family of WordPress plugins trusted on millions of websites.
We are proud to remain completely bootstrapped — no venture capital, no debt — answering only to our customers.

2011–2014
Beyond the installer
Virtualizor brings one-click VPS management to datacenters, AMPPS takes the stack to desktops, and Softaculous becomes a default on hundreds of thousands of servers.
2016–2019
Panels and page builders
Webuzo evolves into a complete multi-user hosting panel while SitePad and PageLayer make professional website building accessible to everyone.
2020–2023
The WordPress family grows
Loginizer, GoSMTP, FileOrganizer, SpeedyCache, Backuply, SiteSEO and PopularFX together cross millions of active installs on WordPress.
